With the goal to prevent flooding in the Kherkh and Tunkhel villages as well as the newly proposed Mandal soum center, flood protection structures will be constructed. Flood protection measures have been designed for a total alignment of 34.4 km as Mandal Soum currently lacks engineered flood protection infrastructure. Additionally, riverbank improvement works along the Kharaa River and the improvement of the Ulunt flood protection channel will cover a total length of 1.56 km.
